    2019 Schedule of Events - Theme: Celebrating Small Town America

     

     

    SUNDAY JUNE 30TH- FRIDAY JULY 5TH

    • Remembering Our Fallen: All Day Ralston Arena Parking Lot - FREE!  Traveling photographic war memorial that honors our country’s military Fallen from The War on Terror.

     

    WEDNESDAY, JULY 3rd

     

    • Picnic In The Park: 5:30 - 7:30 pm at Ralston Park, 80th & Park Dr.  Sponsored by Ralston Area Chamber, City of Ralston, Frank & Velma Johnson Archives Museum, & Trinity United Methodist Church
      • Picnic & Music: Live music by: John Worsham Trio. Food and beverage available for purchase. Served by Trinity United Methodist Church
      • Pie Baking Contest/Pie & Ice Cream Social: Pies must be at park between 3-4 pm. Pie and ice cream available for purchase during picnic.
    • FAMILY STREET DANCE: DJ RD Stars 7 pm to 11 pm, 77th & Main St.  A family event. Bring the family and have some fun! This is a non-alcohol event!
      • Sponsored by: Ralston Area Chamber of Commerce - FREE!         
    • SCORZ FREEDOM BASH: 7 pm to 1 am at Scorz .  21+ Event including a beer garden with live music by Red Delicious & Room With A View - FREE!                      

     

    THURSDAY, JULY 4th

     

    • OPTIMISTS INDEPENDENCE DAY FUN RUN/WALK: One of the oldest runs in Nebraska! Independence Square, 77th & Main Street Gazebo. Entries include a T-shirt!
    • CHILDREN’S PARADE: No registration required ~ 6th Grade & Under. Line-up​
      • 9:30 am Children’s Parade starts at 10 am at 5505 Miller Ave. - Chamber Office 
      • Led by Ralston’s Mayor, Don Groesser - FREE!
    • FIRST STATE BANK’S PRE-PARADE PARTY: 10 am – 2pm
      • Bounce houses, face painting, and games - FREE!
      • Food trucks will be onsite.  Located at 5370 South 72nd Street, Ralston.
    • MUSIC at INDEPENDENCE SQUARE: Music 11:15 am-12:15 pm
      • Music by Joey Gullizia & the G Notes 77th & Main St. - FREE!
    • INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE: 1 pm 59th ANNUAL - Our Parade emcee is KAT 103.7! 
      • Parade Marshall and Citizen of the Year is Dennis Parsley

    • FIRE DEPARTMENT WATER FIGHTS following parade 77th and Main St.
      • Sponsored by: Ralston Volunteer Fire Department - FREE!
    • CHICKEN DINNER: Legion 74th & Q St. 11-3 pm, (Chicken fingers for the kiddos)
    • OUTDOOR BEER GARDEN & LIVE MUSIC at the Legion: 5 pm-12 am, 74th & Q St. $5 cover charge. 
      • Live music by Element Variety Band.  Food for purchase (Hamburgers, Brats, & Hot Dogs)
      • Dinner & Garden sponsored by: Ralston American Legion Post #373.
    • FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR: Dusk (approx. 9:30 pm) Ralston Arena, 72nd & Q St. 
      • Synchronized to music over the J&M Displays App
